The Parachute Adams is the brother of the Adams Dry Fly. The Parachute Adams offers a ‘parachute’ of white dubbing above the fly to make the fly easy to see on the water. The Parachute itself is above the water, so fish cannot tell an Adams from a Parachute Adams. The Foam Parachute Adams replaces the white parachute dubbing with a foam parachute.
The benefits for this are two fold. First it allows for amazing visibility in the water. If you are having trouble seeing the Parachute Adams then the Foam will definitely help. Secondly the Foam is more buoyant that traditional floatant. This allows you to use a dry dropper configuration with more confidence.
